Natural Resources Associate: Denver (Brownstein)

Brownstein's Natural Resources group represents clients in complex litigation, administrative proceedings, and transactions pertaining to water quality and water rights, hazardous waste contamination, mining, oil and gas, public lands, and air quality.

The Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck has an immediate opening for a natural resources associate with 1-5 years’ experience in a general environmental practice, which may include the following areas of natural resources law: NEPA, ESA, CAA, CWA, BLM leasing, USFS permitting, natural resources litigation, industry experience in energy, infrastructure development and use, agency rulemaking, water rights, water quality, and enforcement proceedings. Success in this position requires a positive, energetic attitude and dedicated work ethic. The ideal candidate is capable of translating the law into arguments, guidance, and applications, putting their findings into real-life, actionable solutions.

Compensation: In accordance with applicable law, the following represents the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note, this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. Salary will range between $200,000 - $230,000 depending on experience. Associates are also eligible to receive an hours-based bonus as well as a discretionary bonus based on performance. This role is also eligible for the following firm benefits: medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, voluntary insurance including vision, 401(k) plan and matching contributions, profit sharing contributions and paid time off.
